FAU (Studio Art)
I'm a South Florida native and I graduated from university with a B.A. in Studio Art with a certificate in teaching. In 2012 I graduated from YWAM’s PhotogenX photography internship and spent 3 months in Arua, Uganda advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves.
I have also been able to travel internationally taking photos in Colombia, Uganda, Germany and beyond. I spent 2 years working for a non profit, OneHope, as a project manager. I helped create several books, websites, and even spent some time working on art direction for an animated app for kids. In 2015 I have spent the year living in Uganda volunteering with YWAM working with children and using my photography skills to update their website. I have also documented other ministries in the area. One being a sewing project that works with HIV+ mothers. I specializes in portrait and documentary photography and love Ultimate Frisbee, good conversations and African food.?
Since I have worked in studios, on location, and overseas I have a different perspective on how to tackle this beautiful art form. I have experience with film and digital photography and how to work with people or take a stunning landscape. I have tips and tricks that I have picked up from years of photography experience all over the world that I have found to be priceless.
I have a love to pass on and share this beautiful art form to new people. I think there needs to be more photographers out there in the world sharing their perspective with the world. I hope that I get to share it with you. I'm a South Florida native and I graduated from university with a B.A. in Studio Art with a certificate in teaching. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
