I am a dedicated teacher with extensive experience in one-on-one learning. I taught for three years as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher in a private school. I homeschooled my own four children for 15 years. All of my children are currently in college. I have two years experience teaching needle crafts to both adults and children through Joann Fabric Stores. Additionally I have five years volunteer teaching experience for both adults and children. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
