Bio

I am uniquely qualified to tutor Bar Applicants, Law Students, and Freshly Minted Attorneys: I was first overall in my law school graduating class, nominated (based on a University wide faculty vote) for the Rhodes Scholarship, awarded 7 book awards [the highest grade in a particular law school course], a law school commencement speaker, recipient of a full academic scholarship, first in class both 1L and 2L, member of the U. of F. I am uniquely qualified to tutor Bar Applicants, Law Students, and Freshly Minted Attorneys: I was first overall in my law school graduating class, nominated (based on a University wide faculty vote) for the Rhodes Scholarship, awarded 7 book awards [the highest grade in a particular law school course], a law school commencement speaker, recipient of a full academic scholarship, first in class both 1L and 2L, member of the U. of F. Law Review, and- by invitation only- a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Order of the the Coif, the American Judicature Society, the Inns of Court, and Savant Tutoring. I currently create and present podcasts as a lecturer and faculty member for national CLE course providers, and for similar concerns (while continuing my law practice). I regularly serve as a Moot Court competition Justice and coach and as a writing instructor (IRAC, CREAC, and Case Briefing Skills)

My 5 star tutoring skills are well established, extensive, and unique. Recently I was responsible for assisting one of my 1L students secure a $24,000.00 academic scholarship (not "needs based"). My student said I was responsible for this. It was my pleasure to have worked with this student to help achieve such an outstanding honor. Student accomplishments such as this make all my hard work preparing for each session that much more fulfilling.

I have over 20 years of experience in teaching large numbers of law students in the traditional bricks and mortar setting. I have over 35 years teaching already experienced lawyers and paralegals in all manner of topics after they have begun their careers. I have lectured to countless other professionals as well, such as real estate brokers, developers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, business brokers, appraisers, construction managers at risk, engineers, sub and prime contractors, architects, condominium managers, arbitrators, and mediators- among many others. During all this time I managed an active law practice, first as a "fast track" partner at the 2000 member international law firm of Greenberg Traurig and currently as a solo trial attorney in Boca Raton, Florida. I have tutored for decades.

I place a very strong emphasis on helping my students acquire "essay and multiple-choice exam success skills". As part of my lessons I also provide critical career counseling with the motto that it is never too early to work on a Bar application or immediately begin networking. Many professors have never worked outside of academia. I bring outside skills, professionalism, and a keen adherence to ethical standards of conduct to the table. I take what your professors or Bar Examiners may urge is complex and make it simple. My lessons proceed from the bottom up and then the top down (i.e. engineering followed by reverse engineering or vice-versa).

My high hourly rates reflect my many years of teaching experience, my substantive knowledge of the law, my experience in the day to day practice of law, and my proven teaching and tutoring skills. My credentials and experience put me into the top rank of law student and Bar Applicant tutors working through Wyzant. Rates can be negotiated when I am called upon to tutor small groups [in contrast to individual sessions].

I tutor law students locally (person to person) and nationally online. I have been tutoring for decades, was a professor of law for 20 years, a partner in a top world-wide firm for 18 years, First in my Law School graduating class, a Rhodes Scholar Nominee- selected by the entire University not just the Law School, and was awarded a full, academic based, law scholarship. I bring a unique approach to preparing for law school courses. Most of my skills and insights in study approaches and Exam test taking are unknown or simply not taught by other Bar prep tutors. I understand substantive and procedural law in virtually all respects and take what your professors think should be complex and make it simple.

Helpful law tutor

Byron helped me understand warranties and topics of negotiable instruments. I was clueless, but he then explained the topics to me and now I fully understand.

Mr. P Is Great!

Mr. P offers more academic and professional knowledge than you're likely to get with any other tutor. He has extensive experience in both academia and the professional world, so he helps you do well in classes while giving you insight into professional life. You can really tell that he loves to tutor people. Every tutoring session comes with detailed handouts and he does a great job researching and understanding the topics you need help with. His communication is great, and you feel like the tutoring continues throughout the week with his consistent e-mails. I highly recommend him.
