Christopher is an outstanding tutor. He's like a magician with a bag of tricks up his sleeve. If one approach doesn't work, he reaches in and grabs another. My daughter shared with me after her last session that she learned what she needed in the ONE session (hour and a half) with Chris vs. weeks of struggling even with help from her teacher on the same subject matter in geometry. She is growing more confident with each session, and I look forward to using him through the summer with both of my kids to keep them sharp.
Chris is patient and professional. He helped my son study American History. Knows the material very well. Helped my son understand and remember important events. My son was very happy with the lessons.
My son said he liked working with Christopher and he got a 96% after just 2 sessions with him.
Chris is a very caring tutor. Thanks to him, my daughter seems more confident in herself. I will definitely recommend him.
Chris continues to do a very nice job with my daughter. Her grades have been improving and her willingness to apply her math skills continues to improve. Thanks Chris
He is very professional and enjoys what he does. I have a student with ADHD but he is always able to keep my son engaged, motivated and on task. My life has been a lot easier thanks to Chris, he has really brought up his grades and understanding of all class materials they have worked on together. A+ Tutor!
He is great with my child. He takes the time to know my child's weakness & institute an action plan to work on it. Every visit, he makes a positive difference in my child's education. I highly recommend him. I also look forward to continue working with him. Thanks Mr. Christopher T. From my child and myself.
I hired Chris to help explain Apple products and sort out all the "simpleness" of it all. Hands down the best thing I could have done. Couldn't recommend anyone higher for support, knowledge and expertise in this regard.
It's been great. Chris is very talented and easy to understand. My son is actually enjoying the lessons. I'm very happily surprised.
It has been a true pleasure working with Christopher. He really seems like he wants to get the information, which makes my job that much easier. I look forward to our continued relationship.
Mr. Chris, as my 5 year old calls him, is a great and caring tutor. My husband and I appreciate his advice greatly. I love the fact that he accepts my son as who he is and brings the best of him. We highly recommend him.
Chris has been tutoring our son for about 3 weeks now. He is very patient with our son and is genuinely concerned about how he is doing in class. We are using him 2 x per week and he is always on time and does not mind going over time a little to complete a problem.
Tutoring my daughter for math and reading. Positive first impression for the first session. Fast in communication and msg feedback. This is what I really need when it gets to tutoring. Skills and communication! I highly recommend Chris T.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am certified/endorsed to teach elementary education, ESE, ESOL, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum, and Reading. I have worked with children, teens, and adults with autism. I understand that each person is different, but there are strategies that are very effective in working with individuals with autism.
Some of the strategies that are effective are: rigid structure, following a set routine, eliminating sensory distractions, allowing movement as needed, giving extended time to process information, giving extended time to give feedback, accepting feedback in a variety of means, and allowing for sensory or functional breaks. In addition it is a good practice to do an interest inventory to determine what they like and don't like. This allows for more positive and tangible reinforcement. Most importantly it is necessary to get to know the person you are working with. You can overcome many obstacles when you know what is causing them.
