Greetings to all! I am a Master Personal Trainer and Certified Nutritionist. I work with folks in all walks of life when it comes to Exercise and Nutrition. However, what is my niche so to speak, is when I train Basketball players. They range from Elementary aged youth, to Middle School Basketball Players to Teenage aged High School Basketball players also College and Pro athletes be it overseas NBA & WNBA. All who have trained with me have excelled and passed their own expectations. As a result, all have made their teams ranging from middle school basketball, to AAU Travel Basketball, High School Basketball as well as on the College level. All whom I have worked with have gotten Scholarships into junior colleges, NCAA Division 1 or 2, some have even made it onto their Country's National Basketball Team. Pro Basketball Players have seen an increase in playing time, shooting higher Free-Throw, 3pt and Field Goal percentages.
There are those have made their goals such as being the team's go-to player, being acknowledged as the best defender on the team or playing a vital role on a winning type of team. The player will walk away knowing that the passion they have for the sport will allow them to make time for practice, which in turn makes them better player and develop the skills to be an even greater person. The work covered is teaching the player about nutrition and how it impacts the player's training, growth & and performance. In addition, skill work shall be done such as developing a jump-shot and correcting the flaws or bad habits that exist. We also working on dribbling skills and also cover one on one go to moves, we work on defense and tactics to apply when playing defense in a one on one setting or as a team defender and also how to be the team's best defender. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm a former college and semi-pro basketball player. I train in a 1 on 1 setting. This allows me to work on the athlete's weak areas and turn them into strengths. The areas covered could be shooting and the mechanics involved in it. Also covered would be how to increase the athlete's speed, agility and vertical jump. The training could vary and go into dribbling, shooting off the dribble and off of screens.
