I have been in the position of helping people learn for 18 years now. One of the most important teaching roles is that of being a parent. Everyday I am learning new ways to help advance learning and make learning fun for a 5 year old, 9 year old and 18 year old with special needs. I have been in the position of helping people learn for 18 years now. One of the most important teaching roles is that of being a parent. Everyday I am learning new ways to help advance learning and make learning fun for a 5 year old, 9 year old and 18 year old with special needs. I have also homeschooled them through various stages of their lives.

Besides the real life experience of parenting, I have also tutored students ranging grades second through college. I peer tutored students when I went to Washington State University and I ran my own tutoring company for three years after I graduated with my Master's. I taught a college level psychology course as a college student. I have instructed and mentored college-age students getting tested for HIV and STIs. I have taken courses in both learning theory and teaching theory so that I have knowledge about how to find a person's learning style and helping them use their strengths to learn any material. All of these experiences help me have the compassion and knowledge it takes to help students see the light at the end of a dark tunnel.

I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Psychology and a Certificate of Helping Skills from Washington State University in 2008. I graduated with a M.Ed. in Student Affairs Administration from Western Washington University in 2010. I am currently enrolled and have completed 80% of an Ed.D. program at the University of Phoenix.

I currently accept clients on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to message me with your needs and I will determine if I would be a good fit.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

As a student, math was my most favorite subject. Not only did I enjoy it but I was also good at it and received good grades. I have a total of 7 years of tutoring experience, and the primary need that I have met in those seven years has been the need for a math tutor. One of the several levels of math I have extensive experience tutoring in is Algebra 1.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Math is one of my strongest subjects and one of the subjects I have had the most experience tutoring in the past 7 years. I enjoy helping students master the skills necessary to be successful in Algebra 2. Some of the skills I enjoy and are best at are graphing and solving polynomials, solving exponential functions with logarithms, and trigonometric ratios and functions, just to name a few.

College Counseling

I graduated with a Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration. For my internship, I worked in Student Outreach Services as an Academic Adviser. This lasted for a period of 10 months. I have also been tutoring for 10 years. I have found in both of these roles, to help student be successful academically, you not only have to help them with their studies but many times you have to help them with social or financial issues as well.

Forever grateful!

From writing papers, to helping me with math, Jenn is amazing! Struggling with a learning disability, to having a hard time focusing, she has been very accommodating and patient with me. I can truly say, i would not of been able to succeed in some of my colleges classes, if it weren't for Jenn's help! I am forever grateful for her.

Patient and knowledgeable tutor

I needed help improving my GRE score and Jenn spent time with me reviewing the material and going over practice questions. She also gave me some good test-taking strategies that I will use when I take the GRE again.

Great with kids

Jenn helped my 9 year old son with homework this evening, she was very nice and good with kids with ADHD and learning disabilities. We plan on continuing to use her services regularly.

Thanks so much for the kind words. It means a lot! I look forward to continuing to work with you and your son :)

Very equipping

We only had one session but it was helpful because she didn't do as much direct tutoring but she gave tools of what I need to do on my own. I feel like that's the best way to study for the GRE.

Professional and Patient

We had a great experience with Jenn. My daughter was really struggling with Algebra 1 for high school. Jenn was very patient and had the skills to teach my daughter effectively. Jenn was very professional and was on time to all our appointments. I highly recommend Jenn. Me and my daughter were very pleased with the results.
