I am a highly skilled, experienced, and certified teacher. I have years of experience teaching reading (K-6th grade) as well as, math, written expression, and vocabulary development. I have completed over 300 additional continuing education units focused on reading, math, and writing development. I will develop a program in any academic area to meet your child's specific skills that need to be mastered. I have 3 recent outstanding references as well as two teaching certificates (Florida and Illinois) in the area of Special education.
In addition, I am instilled with passion and dedication to help students. I feel there is no greater reward then helping students be successful in school and be filled with self confidence and motivation. I have a current resume and outstanding references from my former principals.
I have a graduate degree in education from the University of Michigan and a 6th year degree in special education from Southern Connecticut University.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have over 25 years of experience as a special needs teacher. I am currently certified in all areas of exceptionality. ADD/ADHD students been a part of my classroom, I have instructed them to be successful with academic assignments and implemented strategies and accomodations to be successful.
I am a special needs teacher. I am certified to teach autism and many students in my class were eligible for instruction because of their exceptionality of autism spectrum disorder.
