About Gail

I am currently self-employed and owner of an educational and self-mediation clinic that I invented, where I teach struggling students who have the propensity to increase their troubled grades how to self mediate in order to accomplish their desired passing grades. I also created a learning model for students with learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, brain injuries due to concussions, and behavior problems. I currently use my expertise and special stategies, working as an interim teacher, and sometimes when time allows, I substitute at various failing schools as a supplement educator in order to assist in helping students who struggle with low test scores. As a result of my work, said failng schools have received passing scores from an 82 to 100 percent increase in standardized tests such as the FCAT, GED (100%), GKT (100%), ACT, and SAT. In the 2012/2013 school term, I received recognition and praise for an 82% increase pass rate for level 1 English, Grammar, Reading, and Writing students assigned to me whose failing rates were 100% at the time I received the assignments. I had only six months to help the students raise their Reading, English, Grammar, and Writing scores, as prior to my accepting the task the students had two permanent teachers who quit, and five substitute teachers who quit. Although my learning model helps struggling students and students with learning disabilities, I have had a success rate in turning regular students into Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IB) students. References by parents, professors, and teachers are available upon request.

As stated in the aforementioned paragraph, I am qualified to tutor IB, AP, and Honor subjects, as I am a former certified teacher before becoming self-employed. I also own an entertainment business where I have embarked on a partnership as a Songwriter, as well as performing singing and acting. I teach students who are interested in becoming
Songwriters, Playwrights, and students who are interested in Journal and Media Writing. I was certified to teach adult education and high school Writing on all levels, English, Grammar, Reading, IB Comparative Politics, AP United States Government, AP Human Geography, Pre-AP American History, Economics Honors, and World History Honors. The subjects I am currently certified in as an interim teacher and substitute teacher are all of the aforementioned subjects as well as middle school and high school Pre-Law, Mediation, Psychology, Science, Biology, Literature, Dual Language Civics (English and Spanish in middle school only), Spanish (beginners and intermediate), and Research.

As for my own educational background, I hold a Psychology degree with a double minor in Forensic Psychology and Legal Studies, graduating highest honors with distinction. Moreover, I hold a Master's of Science degree in Education, with a Specialization in Brain Research, graduating summa cum laude. I am currently on medical leave from my post-graduate studies. I not only teach academic subjects, but I also train students time management per subject and how to become honor students by teaching the psychology of studying. For example, the way one studies English, Reading, and Math are totally different, which is why there are a plethora of failures, especially in math courses. Thus, I will be honored to answer any questions regarding any other assignments or projects other than my assigned subjects for this purpose only at no extra charge. However, I do reserve the right to charge extra for rigorous projects that are time sensitive.

For students who struggle with a dearth of transportation, I do tutor via internet and/or phone such as I did while working for Hospital/Homebound programs.

In culmination, I am most always available for questions online, as I carry a separate electronic device that caters to my students. I do expect at least 24 hours cancellation if you are not able to attend a session.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam.
