I am a lifelong police officer, police trainer and college professor with a lot of life experience coupled with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education and Criminal Justice. Knowing the importance of excellent writing skills in my chosen professions, all of my college electives were in writing courses - business writing, technical writing, creative writing and more. Emphasizing presentation skills, I teach new instructors in classroom, online and practical exercise environments, as well as help in-service instructors improve their performance in front of classrooms and other groups. Having spoken in front of groups as large as ten thousand, I have had the pleasure to speak all over the world, working through translators and delivering speeches in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish!).
After working from age nineteen as a police officer and rising through the ranks, I completed my education and began a career teaching live and online at Daytona State College as well as many others. Designing new courses involves writing in an accurate, concise manner while holding interest and serving exactly what the reader needs. With over twenty years of developing and delivering training, I have honed my training, education, writing skills and presentation skills to meet the needs of many. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I teach law enforcement and college students professionally, and have done so for over twenty years.
I have spoken to groups as large as 10,000, provided information to groups all over the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, as well as Argentina, UAE, Russia, Great Britain, and Spain.
I teach new instructors in presentation techniques, including support materials such as printed handouts and slide presentations.
I have been a police officer, police trainer and college professor throughout my whole life.
