I started playing golf and ping pong, billiards, darts, ultimate Frisbee at age 6 and have excelled to professional status in each. I have a 3rd degree black belt in Korean Tea Kwon Do, Eagle Scout and have volunteered for 20+ years teaching elementary education with my mother who has taught elementary school for 35 years. I have two associates degrees and a bachelors degree along with professional teaching status in all sports listed above.
I've taught all ages from 5 years old to 95 years old. My specialty is golf and social sciences as well as several years if teaching a multitude of team sports. I can guarantee that my teaching methods will not only help the children excellent, but they will learn all rules and regulations and always behave in a socially responsible and professional manner. I emphasize the values I learned in boy scouts, the discipline I learned in Tae Kwon Do and mold my students to be the very best they can be at everything they do.
My father was a civil and electrical engineer. I was taught at an early age the components of engines, circuits, electrical grids and surveying. My education in physical sciences taught me about the many advances we have made in just the last 20 years in the sciences. I like to compare and contrast old sciences with the newer and usually more productive methods we use today with our many breakthroughs in technology.
I've taught both these sports as well as team sports for over 10 years. Every student is different and I enjoy finding the best ways to teach every single one of them. Of course I am a highly skilled player in almost any game involving hand eye coordination, muscle memory and kinesiology.
Every student that I ever teach will leave every lesson feeling he/she has a better understanding of the subjects covered. I believe demonstrating my methods creates a trust from my students that I do indeed know what I am teaching and again I always apply ethics and discipline to my lessons. My students don't only walk away knowing more than they did before, but they will have a complete understanding of the subjects I teach. The values of a boy scout with the discipline of a martial arts master has taught me how to be a truly innovative and unique teacher. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
