I am a retired Accountant who taught hundreds of children at my church for over 20 years. Through this experience, I understand the mindset of a child completely. I know when they are motivated and when they lack interest, and have developed a system to make learning a fun activity and interesting at every level. My work with children has led me to conclude that every child has the ability to excel but it requires an experienced and caring tutor to identify strengths and weaknesses of each individual child. Recognizing that each child is different, I know how to get the best out of every child and put that certain smile on each face as the grades improve.
I have been a tutor for over 10 years and specialize in grades 1 thru 6, Algebra 1, FCAT and SAT. Simply put, I identify a child’s learning ability and gradually strengthen it. My method ensures that a child in not under pressure but rather in a relaxed state of mind. Following my instructions, every child is taught how to develop good study habits, be selective in study material, strengthen weak areas, be responsible and attentive, be confident and creative. Homework and feedback are integral parts of my system.
I am so confident that all parents will be completely satisfied with my tutoring that I have made it a policy not to bill for any lesson if the parents are dissatisfied. Also to ensure that a child is comfortable, if a student does not have convenient study space, I can make arrangements for a study space during my tutoring session.
I look forward to hearing from you either to answer your questions or to schedule your study session.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been tutoring children from Elementary School to High School for several years. I first assess a child's capacity for learning, ascertain his/her level in relation to his/her grade and then set a suitable program for improvement. My method also includes making the child relaxed and comfortable.
