In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to tutor elementary students because I taught this level for 3 years before moving to middle school. The 3 principals I worked for have all given me outstanding recommendations. I have great communication skills, lesson plans, and creativity. I am very patient, and children feel comfortable with me, therefore they learn.
I have a Masters in TESOL, and Florida Professional Certification to teach ESL. I also have over 5 years experience teaching ESL students. If you need someone to help you learn the English language, I can certainly do that. I am patient, determined, and passionate about teaching, and seeing my students learn.
