University of South Florida (History)
Hello everyone! I'm Jesse, a recent graduate of USF who is eager to put my knowledge and skills to work helping others achieve their academic goals.
Through high school, college, and university I juggled a rigorous academic schedule, part-time jobs, leadership in school musical programs, personal musical projects, and mentoring work. I learned first-hand the organizational/time-management skills necessary to be successful and I'm confident I can impart this knowledge to my students.
I graduated USF in December 2013 with a BA in History with an emphasis on American and Roman history. That being said, I have a broad understanding of social studies and believe strongly the skill set required to be a successful student in this discipline translates easily across subject matter. I can also help you learn to write strong successful essays, regardless of the course/subject matter. Whether one is taking general high school/college courses or studying for their AP, ACT, SAT, or college placement exams, I believe my experience and knowledge can make a difference.
Please feel free to contact me so we can discuss you or your student's needs and I can gauge how I can best serve you. And although my travel radius is 10 miles, I'm opening to traveling further or meeting halfway depending on the circumstances.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve academic success! Hello everyone! I'm Jesse, a recent graduate of USF who is eager to put my knowledge and skills to work helping others achieve their academic goals.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have 7 years of formal training. I was 1st chair alto saxophone in concert, marching, and jazz band my junior and senior years of high school. I participated in a saxophone quintet that earned excellent ratings at the state ensemble assessment. I have done Numerous performances and received leadership rewards throughout my participation in DHS's music program. I have more than 8 years experience playing in ska-punk bands locally and around the state. I'm confident I have the experience and knowledge to mentor a beginning to intermediate player.
