University of South Florida (Communication Scienc)
Dear future students,
Throughout my life I have worked with people of different cultures and backgrounds. I enjoy meeting new people and learning from them. I attended the University of South Florida in which I received my Bachelor's Degree in communication sciences and disorders. My degree specializes in the science of speech and language, therefore, I have a good foundational background in linguistics, phonology and language structure and process. In addition, I received my certification to teach English as a second language, which was an intensive program about different styles of teaching English one on one and in a group setting.
In regards to my professional experience, I have worked with individuals of all ages from children to elderly. I worked with children as a teacher assistant at a summer camp and at an after school education program in which I helped students in the areas of reading and writing. I also tutored four adults privately, all which were at different levels. Some of them needed focus on grammar while others wanted help with speaking and writing. In addition, I had the opportunity to teach English in Turkey. For this position, all my classes had no less than 8 students ranging from 12- to 55-year-olds. I led group activities which involved the students having a discussion about a special topic or current event. Currently, I continue teaching English in the United States independently.
I think that all the areas of English are important, therefore, I try to involve all of them in my sessions. Before I begin teaching any material, I always like to have an understanding of what my students want to gain from English tutoring or classes because it will allow me to prepare the lessons according to the students' daily activities. Based on this information is how I can set the goals for the sessions. I am willing to help you with your English so that you can reach your goals. Please feel free to contact me for any help and I will be happy to respond. Dear future students,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received a Bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of South Florida. Part of my studies included language structure and processes which is about understanding of how language is processed as a child and as an adult. I received my certification to teach English as a second language. In addition, I have had the opportunity to teach and tutor English one on one and in groups sessions. The levels I taught were from beginner to advanced. Moreover, I am always proactive in keeping myself updated with new developments in the education field and in receiving further training in teaching English as a second language.
I love writing and language arts. I studied the structure and process of language during my undergraduate experience. Therefore, I have good background knowledge about writing. Previously, I have proofread other students' writings for research papers.
