I am a recent UCF Biology graduate and love everything related to marine life and biology in general! For my whole life, I have been passionate about passing my knowledge on to others. I've been tutoring my friends and peers since I was in middle school and have been a professional tutor for the past three years. I enjoy working on multiple subjects with my students as part of a holistic approach. I am a voracious reader and, in my free time, I work through my ever-growing collection of classic novels.
As a tutor, I strive to create an environment where learning can be looked forward to and provide lessons that last. Tutoring, to me, should always start with the goal of a bittersweet ending. I am, of course, always sad to see a student move on but I know that tutoring is meant as a stepping stone and not a permanent solution. I structure my lessons around this ideology and try to build my students' confidence to work on their own. I believe any student can be successful both with a tutor and beyond if only they receive the tools they need to problem solve on their own.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or about topics not specified in my profile. I pride myself on being a flexible and understanding tutor so I always do my best to accommodate those with unusual schedules or circumstances. Everyone should be afforded the opportunity to learn!

Knowledgeable, patient, detailed,

Sarah assisted me with my BIO 101 class that was taught by a second year professor. This professor has us doing chemistry, stats, probability, genetics, and advanced biology. Sarah know it all, was patent with me. Even as I went of on my rants about verifying intellectual perspectives, I am a sociology major. She is kind and gentle and didn't utter a harsh word. I had a wonderful time working with her.

My test and what she taught

She helped me a lot! The test had some stuff included from my book which was on my part that I should’ve looked over. But she did explain to me the difference between polar and nonpolar and pressure conversion ☺️

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

During our first tutoring session, my daughter was more interested and engaged in her Biology lesson. Sarah was able to connect with my child to help her understand the course material and work with greater confidence.

Great tutor, very patient.

Sara was patient with me and helped me understand key concepts that I wasn’t getting through my online classes. I will be scheduling with her again :)
