Elementary Education

Elementary (K-6th)

I believe I can adequately tutor grades k-6 because I have tutored my three younger siblings since they were in kindergarten themselves. I still tutor them today, from 4th grade to 5th grade to 7th. I also tutor the middle school students that come to youth at church on Wednesday nights. I serve in the children's ministry on Sunday mornings where we hold our own "mini service" for k-5 children. I am in charge of 5th grade, but help with other grades as well.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I teach all the required standards within the Common Core State Standards. They have algebra (both 1 & 2) broken down into a few categories, and I am comfortable with all of them.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra II and College Algebra are fairly similar, and I teach both more often that almost any subject (next to Geometry perhaps). I have been teaching this subject for over five years now, and have the topics down to a science. There is a clean progression from topic to topic when Algebra II is taught correctly, and with my experience the class can be made to be enjoyable and fully understandable.
Calculus,

Calculus

I took Calculus 2 and 3 my freshman year of college, and have since put them to practice in tutoring locations such as the Brandon HCC and the University of South Florida. I have a copy of a text which encompasses all three of the Calculus classes- differential, integral, and multi-variable. I also stay up to date on topics in Calculus using websites.

In each of the sub-fields of Pre-Calculus (Conic Sections, Sequences and Series, Probability and Combinatorics, Complex Numbers, Hyperbolic Functions, and limits) I have had experience tutoring over the last 7 years. Great tutor for Algebra 2

Kyle helped my son with Algebra 2. He liked Kyle's tutoring style so we are coming back for another session with him. My son is picky so that says a lot!! We haven't seen any grades yet but I'm hoping we will see improvement soon.

Very knowledgeable and patient.

Very knowledgeable and patient. I haven’t taken a math course in a long time. Helped refresh my skills and memory. Came prepared to session with examples and a schedule in place. Helped explain things in a easy to comprehend way. Definitely learned a lot. Looking forward to more sessions.

Great tutor

My daughter really likes him and her grades have improved even in the short period we have been working with Kyle. He is patient, responsible and willing to help. Highly recommend him!

My son thought he was great!

After working with two other tutors for help with pre-calc, Kyle met with my son last night. My son said Kyle helped him with some tricks to remember as well as notice that he was a visual learner and made suggestions to help him when he tested. My son got so much out of just one lesson that we will be using him regularly. Kyle was on time and communicative.

Very Helpful and Patient!

Kyle always takes his time to make sure my son understands the concepts he is reviewing. He goes through all of the steps and provides useful notes and tips. My son has improved significantly and feels more confident about his abilities. Kyle is also reliable and communicates effectively.

Prompt, polite & Smart

Kyle is an excellent tutor! He listen's to the issue and addresses it by providing insight that helps reduce the problem into fewer manageable steps that will definitely save time solving the math problems during testing situations. I would highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again in the future. Thanks WyzAnt for a great tutor to fit my needs!

Patience of a saint.

Kyle has the patience of a saint! he responds to any mails in a timely manner. Having gone to High School in the UK, albeit a long time ago ..... he takes his time with me to make sure I've grasped the concept of what I'm trying to learn.
