About David

I love to teach students and help them succeed! As an accomplished teacher with a wealth of educational and career experiences, I believe learning should be engaging and practical. Consequently, I tailor my tutoring to the specific needs of my students. With the right strategies, resources, and hard work, you can achieve your goals!

During a 13-year period, I taught all ability levels in high school. I have also taught developmental English classes at community colleges. My Advanced Placement students consistently scored 20 percentage points above the national average on the AP exam, and I have a proven track record of helping students significantly improve on the ACT and SAT.

As a teacher, I hold a Professional Educator's License in teaching English with a History Endorsement, and I also have Highly Qualified Status. My Master's degree is in Instructional Strategies with an emphasis in Performance Learning Systems. This has equipped me to specialize in finding the right teaching methods that are best for my students! Additionally, I am an expert in AP Literature and Composition. Whether it is Shakespeare, poetry, novels, literature, writing, or test prep and study skills, I can help you!
