My love for teaching came from tutoring students and teaching them reach their goals. There is a very special feeling of satisfaction that great teachers have from helping their students to succeed. I have a M.Ed (2014) and I am due to complete my Ph.D in Education from FAU in 2017. I tutor all students from K through 12th grade in language arts and reading along with Social Studies and History. I am adept at tutoring writing skills including MLA and APA citation.
I provide expert management of the entire college application process, from school selection, acceptance, and the scholarship application process. I currently counsel students in the Scholarship Resource Center at Florida Atlantic University. I also tutor the ACT and SAT tests in all areas besides Math.
My students have had excellent results in acceptance to selective schools and challenging programs. I assist my students in finding that one special characteristic that enhances their applications.
I also teach Readiness Roundup, a curriculum for individual and small groups, in order to evaluate school readiness for four and five year olds.
I am available to tutor in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Boca Raton. I prefer to tutor at one of the Palm Beach Public Libraries in a study carrel for maximum results. I can also arrange to tutor at FAU if that is more convenient.
I am familiar with the common core math standards for K-5. I use manipulative in to show students hands-on mathematic experiences.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
