My name is Erika and I am a current sophomore in college! I have taught my sister how to read, I work as a math tutor at my college, and I am an assistant teacher/floater at a daycare. I have learned from tutoring/teaching that the teacher/tutor can only do so much. A tutor/teacher can have all the answers in the world, but if a person is not willing to be open and listen then that's on the student. A teaching/tutoring session will only be as great as the amount of effort that the tutee/student puts into it!
Always do your best and nothing less!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
