I have a Masters from FAU in Reading, Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to tutor Reading, because I have a Master's Degree and I am certified by the state. I am qualified to tutor Elementary Math, because I taught elementary for 10 years with much success and students gain and growth. Phonics, spelling, vocabulary are important to become effective and efficient readers and show mastery on standardized testing. Students must be taught specific study skills to become better readers and learners.
