I am 41 years old and contacted Rochelle to tutor me on English for my GED. I had a lot of anxieties about starting back to school for my GED. I have to say that having worked and still working with Rochelle has made a huge difference to my anxieties. All areas of my English have progressed greatly and my knowledge and understanding had improved. I can only say that Rochelle is an amazing tutor with patience that I have never encountered in a person before. I believe tutors don't get any better than Rochelle.
Rochelle has been tutoring me for a complete months now for my GED test. She is a great listener and explains lessons very well. Rochelle has mainly been tutoring me in reasoning in language arts and I am extremely confident in what I have learned with Rochelle.
Excellent teacher- tutor. My son really liked her. They will be working every Wednesday on his preparation for his first SAT test in June
My daughter suffers from severe test anxiety, but just after the very first lesson with Rochelle she feels more confident and at peace that the techniques she is learning will help her bring up her score on ACT/SAT. And that's priceless!
My child was happy to find a Tutor that completely understands his disabilities and looks forward to his next tutor time.
She has a wonderful way on how to let teach a child with Dyslexia.. very caring and patient. and she has lots of knowledge on this issue.
Rochelle was very professional. She showed that she had the knowledge and skills needed to help my child and was patient as well.
I enjoy how Rochelle is very patient and takes the process step by step. Also, she listens to the student and has the lessons made specifically made for that student with that disability. She knows that not all students with a specific disability will react the same way, but asks for feedback from the student to maximize the potential to learn. I highly recommend her to those that are having difficulty because of their learning disabilities.
Rochelle helped me make huge leaps forward in preparing for the ACT. Thorough with theory and encouraging with practice, Rochelle is able to understand the level of desired performance and to accommodate the proper learning experience for each student personally. Rochelle is willing to not blindly follow a strategy offered by a practice book, but rather to use the strategy as the starting point in the process of customizing it in accord with each student's personal advantages and disadvantages. Aside from that, Rochelle personally cares for her students' success; for her, a success of her student is a success of her own. Rochelle is patient, open to any ideas from the student, and supportive. I am certainly glad I chose her as my tutor.
A caring tutor who demonstrated professionalism at all times. With Rochelle's help, my child gained confidence and improved her writing skills for the FCAT.
Before the first meeting I informed my son who is 6 years of age what a tutor was and how it can be helpful to his learning skills. He was open to the idea and somewhat excited. Upon meeting Mrs. Rochelle, my son was instantly comfortable and wanted to continue further services with Rochelle. She was very polite and observant of my son's needs within certain areas. I will be continuing tutoring for my son once a week to see how he progresses and possibly adding additional days for her services per week.
Rochelle is very patient and considerate of the needs of her student. She takes the time to determine what kind of day the student is having and works from there.
Rochelle has been a wonderful tutor for our daughter as she prepares for her SAT. She assessed what areas would be best to focus on and she brings materials to support the lessons. She is always encouraging and patient. We are so happy we found her!
We were so grateful to find a trustworthy and qualified English tutor from my son. Ms. H was not only qualified but extremely patient which was an absolute benefit to us. Because of Ms. H I see a confidence in his approach to writing that I had not seen before these tutoring sessions. Ms. H provided a nurturing environment for my son to express his ideas and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an English tutor.
Rochelle helped me pass my GED, she was very patient and supportive. She covers the material at a great pace and makes sure you understand everything. Not only she is a great tutor but also a very inspiring person that encouraged me and built up my confidence; she will really push the best out of you. I totally recommend her as I believe she is a very professional tutor.
Mrs. H is a patient and very knowledgeable teacher. She reminds me of the best English teachers I had when I was in high school and it is evident that she cares for her students.
Rochelle understood my needs as an adult when it came to grammar. She is compassionate and knows her stuff. Great tutor for any adult who needs work on their grammar.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
