Florida International University (Master's)
Hello. My name is Rene, and I'm a Master of Arts in Literature student currently wrapping up my degree at Florida International University. Prior to that I graduated from the FIU Honors College with a BA in English Magna cum Laude. I've worked as a Teaching Assistant at FIU, as well, not only assisting a senior professor in her classroom, but teaching my own classroom, and followed that up with additional class sections as a new Adjunct Professor hire at FIU.
The most important thing that makes me a good English tutor is my breadth of knowledge, which includes literature, proofreading, reading, vocabulary, and writing. I'm an excellent writer with a good grasp of the mechanics of English grammar.
I'm also adept at helping tutees, as I'm experienced working with students on a one-on-one basis as an Adjunct Professor for Florida International University, a Teaching Assistant, and thanks to the tutor training course for the FIU Writing Center.
As an Adjunct Professor and Teaching Assistant, I consistently worked with my students on a one-on-one basis over the course of each semester to help them succeed. If you work with me, I will help you overcome whatever difficulties you may have in order to achieve academic success. Hello. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
