My name is Dr. Kristen R. and I'm a professional Florida licensed educator of K-12 literacy education and English Language Learners; 6-12 English and business education; including, K-12 reading and ESE endorsement. I currently teach in the Palm Beach County School District, and FELE certified and rated by the Florida Department of Education as a highly effective teacher. My students’ performance are currently ranked by the 2014 FLDOE in the top 5% of the state.
Prior to graduate school (at Lynn University), I have taught at the adult and secondary level in the Palm Beach County School District for the majority of my career. Primarily, my interests engage students who struggle with reading and writing skills, particularly early elementary through middle schools and all levels of English Language Learners. In addition, my strategies revolve around the several types of reading motivation mirrored in Bandura’s model of self-efficacy. My research has been published and I direct the A+ Reading Clinic in Boca Raton, Florida. Also, college readiness to teach reading and essay writing for the ACT & SAT Test prep could be discussed further due to an increase in hourly fees.
My students will agree that patience and persistence infused with motivation is the key to reading and writing success in subject ares and test prep. My credentials include a doctorate in education, and many subject area certifications.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
