Bio

A learner of English and the arts, I am blatantly on fire about learning and the opportunities it provides to those whom welcome it. As a student who maintains close relationships with mentors willing to pilot me to my finest point, I continue to seek advice from my favorite teachers to continue developing my interest in learning and to become a favorite teacher myself.

As a dean’s list student at the University of Miami, I have explored many university options as I began at Emory University and ultimately committed myself to procuring an art, marketing, and art history degree in Miami.

My interests range from photography to blogging and are challenged by my equal desires to perform musically and as a member of a university comedy troupe. I possess, from my time as a percussion section leader, the working ability to lead, and from my transition to fashion design school and new business initiation, the resourcefulness to “make it work.” My obdurate love for the art of creation and music has left me no choice but to put my oddly assorted artistic abilities to use as an educator.

As a high schooler, I was a member of my National Honor Society and tutored students weekly in high school subjects. I was also a volunteer at my local Temple as I taught kindergarteners and 3rd graders Hebrew, spelling, reading, and math for their regular schools. I have been a percussionist for over ten years, am deeply in love with mallet and marching instruments alike, and have grown to pursue the visual arts as well. I was the captain of my drum line in high school for two years and loved nothing more than helping the other students learn new passages and accomplish set goals. During college, I began to create art and majored in Studio Art and Art History as well as marketing. Through my new exploration, I have decided that I would like to teach and spread my desire to learn about just about everything. Let me know if we seem to be a good fit; I always love to help.

Drawing,

Drawing

After learning proper drawing technique while in college at the University of Miami, I began to work on the same proper techniques as an art teacher at a local private school for three years. The use of proper drawing technique in combination with exploration and full exercising of the imagination leaves students "WOWED" by their own capabilities.
Painting

Painting

I have a portfolio that I can show to demonstrate my abilities. I have been studying painting for the past three years and have learned to paint in Surrealist, Impressionist, Realist and Abstract styles. My paintings range from studies of other artists such as Stuart Davis to renditions of my own ideas and personal experiences.
