Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADD/ADHD

As an OT working primarily in pediatrics I am very familiar with the needs of ADD/ADHD children. I have helped several children adjust to their condition and adapt their lifestyle to have a better home life and be more successful in school. I am very patient and kids usually respond well to me.

Aspergers

As an OT working primarily in pediatrics I am very familiar with the needs of children with Aspergers. I have helped several children adapt their lifestyle to have a better home life and be more successful in school. Sometimes it is just finding that one thing that your child likes and is good at to help them truly succeed. I am very patient and kids usually respond well to me.

Autism

As an OT working primarily in pediatrics I am very familiar with the needs of children with Autism. I have helped several children adapt their lifestyle to have a better home life and be more successful in school. I understand that children with autism require more patience and 1/1 assistance and not everything will always work. I am very patient and kids usually respond well to me.

Cooking

I grew up in a bakery and have perfected the tricks of the trade. I frequently prepare large, lavish meals for others. I enjoy both baking and cooking. I am also very familiar with Kosher cooking. I love to share this ability with others and would be happy to come to you on my way! And help you plan and prepare special meals or teach you how to do it on your own.

Dyslexia

As an OT working primarily in pediatrics I am very familiar with the needs of children with dyslexia. I have helped several children adapt their lifestyle and learn tricks to help be more successful in school. With the right skills and the dedication of the child, family and OT, dyslexia can be well adjusted for. I am very patient and kids usually respond well to me.

Hard Of Hearing

I have worked with hard of hearing children before as an OT. I know some sign language. I have many techniques that I can apply to help work through difficulties and help your child adapt.

Hebrew

I grew up with an Israeli father who spoke Hebrew in the home. I attended Jewish school with a Hebrew English curriculum.
