Dear Students and Families,
I enjoy working with students and began private tutoring about 20 years ago. I found that I really enjoyed working one on one with a student and that students really improved in their studies with the individual attention. I realize that we all have individual learning styles. My skills includes patience and flexibility. As I get to know my students then I will locate additional educational items to interest and stimulate their critical thinking skills towards increasing overall comprehension. I have always enjoyed reading and attempt to pass this habit on to others.
My students have ranged in age from three years to twenty-one. I have worked with families' primary and elementary students requiring mathematics, reading comprehension and phonics skills, middle school students in all subjects, and older students in the social studies and vocational areas. I personally design current hands on activities for youngsters desiring to read and will prepare study guides and materials for older students regarding specific studies and other various educational needs. My experience is vast!
My educational qualifications include an undergraduate degree with a double major in Business Administration/Management and Fine Arts, and two Masters of Education. I have Teacher Certifications from the state of Texas for general class subjects 1-8, Special Education K-12, Social Studies 4-8, and Social Studies 9-12 including Geography, History, Government. I have taught students and worked with families in Texas and overseas in American International Schools.
If you have any specific questions please let me know.
