Marymount University (English)
Hello! I'm Kaylun, a recent college graduate of Marymount University. I graduated with a B.A. in English and I have had my work published in the literary magazine Blue Ink. My plans for the future include studying at law school. In the mean time, I wish to do what I love best: giving back to the community by helping increase the writing ability of students.
I most recently worked in the Washington D.C. area helping struggling students advance their writing capabilities. The experience allowed me to meet a wonderfully diverse group of students from different cultures, religions, and nations. My job was to encourage and guide students towards writing stronger about a variety of different topics. The efforts of interns like myself eventually concluded in the publishing of an anthology featuring the work of the upper-class student body.
I believe through teamwork, we can face any challenge and conquer it! I look forward to being able to work with you.
I have taught English Writing and Reading Comprehension through my services at a non-profit organization in Washington D.C. Over the course of my time there, I was able to work with a variety of students (ESL, K-12, SEN) to produce completed writing and research projects. I also have regularly produced presentations and performed in public speaking events both creative and formal.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
