Jonathan holds a Master's degree in Germanic Studies with a specialization in linguistics from the universities of Luxembourg, Saarland, and Lorraine Metz. He has been teaching German, French, and English language for the past seven years. He has done post-graduate work at the Faculty of English Language, Literature, and Culture at Saarland University, and continues to teach courses at the university to a very diverse audience including the Luxembourgish government as well as to employees of the university.
Jonathan has been teaching ESL courses ( Phonetics, Listening, Written Expression) and Introductions to linguistics, syntax, semantics, and Old English to University students for the past 4 years. In addition, he has taught high schoolers English in Austria on a Fulbright, government employees in Luxembourg, and has had a number of private students.
Jonathan has double majored in German and French in his undergrad. He received a Fulbright and lived in Austria for 10 months and lived half a year in Dijon, France where he obtained a certificate of advanced French studies from the Université de Bourgogne. He received a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service to do his MA in Germanic studies from Saarland University in Germany, the Université de Lorraine in France, and the Université du Luxembourg, with coursework in German and French. During that time he taught both German and French as a foreign language and worked as a translator and interpreter. He is also a published author in French and continues to be an active writer.
