About Hugh J

I am a author, journalist, historian and theologian with experience in teaching high school students and college placement services. Writing effective CV's and personal life experiences in order to assist with college essays and other requirements for college admissions.
I write daily for multiple news outlets throughout the Catholic world, and provide public relations services for corporate 100 clients throughout the United States. My home in Avalon has been one where I grew up and vacation throughout the year. I work in Wilmington, Delaware where I write, teach and tutor individuals on effective communications skills and public speaking and writing personal presentations.

My history skills are superlative, because I view history as the essential study for foundational understanding of the American cultural experience that assists students in the preparation for the emerging global experiences in careers. In addition to American history, I integrate foreign language skills in Latin, Greek, Spanish, Hebrew, German and Italian to prepare the modern student for the global workforce that is emerging as part of the daily experience as part of the technology revolution which has made the world a small village through technological advances.

I am flexible in teaching and consultation. Most weekends I am in Avalon from Thursday through Tuesday. Laid back sessions, with intense mentoring qualifies my technique with positive results. In all of my years in teaching and coaching my students have not only become friends, but have gone on to be experts in their fields. One student is an academy award winner, 4 are successful surgeons, 5 are retired multimillionaires after real estate development careers and 11 are successful attorneys. Success starts with coaching and objective coaching....
My experience in tutoring is an experience that integrates my educational background and experiences.

I have frequently tutored secondary educational students and college students as well as graduate students effectively with success for their subjects of choice.
High School students can look forward to patient tutoring.
College and graduate school students seeking help in writing and thesis preparation are welcome.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
