I've been a fine artist (painter) for about 50 years, starting at the age of 8. I went to Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, majoring in Art Education, then I went to Penn State graduate school to earn my Master of Fine Arts degree in painting. I've taught on the high school and college levels (drawing and figure drawing). I retired a couple of years ago and can devote more time to my painting. I'm also interested in general western art history and art appreciation. I've built a 100-page website showing my art, and including art instruction (drawing, design and painting), art history, art appreciation, and much more.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
