I love teaching and I will try to make learning fun, enjoyable and easier. I have tutoring and teaching experience in many different subjects including all the sciences, and math. I have expertise in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, statistics, algebra, trigonometry, neuroscience, genetics, developmental biology, psychology, histology, microbiology, and immunology. I also have peer tutoring experience during college, medical school, and high school. I can help a student bridge the gap of understanding by helping them unify subject material.

I was top ten in my high school class and was published in the Who's Who of American high school students. I have been on debate teams and discussion forums throughout high school and college. I was nominated for my leadership qualities and am now a part of the Delta Epsilon Tau Honor society. I am a self published author of a fiction novel on blurb.

I can teach material in an easy to understand and interesting format. I will promote the want to learn and effectively teach all different material personally suited for each student.

I can also help guide a student in their career endeavors by giving them advice whether they are in elementary school, middle school, high school, or college. A lot of times its difficult for people to find someone that can assist them in figuring out what they would like to do as a career and how to obtain it. Since I am an unbiased individual that believes all different professions are needed for a society to function at its optimal condition, I would be able to help them pick what they like the most. I can advise them of the best way to obtain their goals, how to set goals, and so on. I can help motivate and encourage them to want to learn and achieve their goals.

I am a friendly person that is professional in manner and enjoy teaching people. I have experience teaching all ages. I have voluntarily taught Sunday school for children ages 5-18 for 3 years. I have had a wonderful experience reading lessons to children and asking them questions pertaining to the material. I have also tried to make it fun by incorporating different ways of learning by having the students, read or make a game out of the material or share a personal story or opinion to name a few. I am currently tutoring for college level students as well and have helped them with understanding their assignments to complete projects correctly.

I am a very knowledgeable individual with a Bachelor's of science degree. I am currently obtaining my masters in education along with my teaching certificate. I have also completed 2 years of medical school before I decided to change career paths. I realized that I have always loved to teach and would rather teach as my profession instead of being a physician. I have a lot of experience with helping people learn during all the jobs I have worked at up through the present time. I have been asked by my colleagues to help them learn material because I encourage them to learn and try to find exactly what would help them understand and remember tough material in an easier method.

I can help you with difficult subjects, help you learn how to study effectively and remember learned material in the way that most fits your needs.

Amazing AP Chemistry

My son needed a last minute tutor for AP chemistry. Leslie was responsive and very knowledgeable about the topic in front of us. She was thorough, patient and encouraging with my son. She comes highly recommended. We will work with her again without reservation.

Great teacher!

Very professional and finds the student's learning style so they can understand the subject being taught to them. She makes learning easy. Also prepares for test study by developing notes from the student study guides.
