I've been playing guitar for about 13 years now. It is my passion to play guitar but it is almost more of a passion teaching someone the ropes and watching them improve.
I own 9 guitars. I have a little of an obsession with collecting guitars. I know all of the basic chords to get you learning quickly. I also know more advance ways of learning. I can play both lead and rhythm. I master in the rhythm field. I also know was to play things a much easier way that sound just as good. I also can teach how to sing and play. I have done a few open mic nights and local pubs. I would be a great tutor for anyone who is willing to learn. I was in a guitar class throughout high school and for the two years after high school I came in and helped the teacher tutor the next group of students in the class.
I know a lot of history on guitars/guitarists that I can teach to others. I also can play both lead and rhythm guitar. As well as solos and all the scales that make you a great guitarist. I've learned to read both tablature and sheet music.
Not only do I love teaching guitar and the history behind it, I also like to learn more and more about it. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
