I am currently teaching Algebra I and Physical Science 307 at Wilmington University, Wilmington, Delaware. I also tutor math (primarily Math, Algebra I and Praxis) for the University Student Success Center. I was a chemical engineer with DuPont for 33 years. My focus is always to try to make sure my students understand the basic fundamentals and do sufficient practice problems with the fundamentals to instill confidence and train their brains to think differently about the new subject matter they are trying to learn. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
