I like to use analogies and relate the subjects to everyday activities and the real world. Fluent in Spanish as well. My goal is to make math and chemistry an accessible tool for kids to grow to become passionate in these subjects, enough so that they lose any fears they may have.
What I have noticed is that there is a lack of motivated professionals that want to teach more than just to pass an standardized test. My approach involves making these subjects easy to understand by focusing on teaching concepts and ways to tackle problems rather than using complete memorization. I provide known tricks passed onto my that I now want to pass down to other math and chemistry students. These tricks include but are not limited to mnemonics, catch phrases among others.
