I've been tutoring since 1998 when I started helping my high school friends with their math homework. After that, I tutored for a national tutoring company for about five years until about 2005. Around that time, I struck out on my own, and provided in home math tutoring to middle school, high

Keith was extremely helpful in helping our daughter who was struggling in PreCalc. He only came a couple of times to help her get the concepts on an upcoming test. His help was very significant and our daughter got a 93 on that test! I would highly recommend Keith as a tutor.

Keith have explained to us the material we appointed to him in an easy way which made the material understood. We're willing to seeing him again for also a different material.

Keith is a great tutor! He's super helpful and an extremely nice guy. He's super knowledgeable and he was always on time and well prepared. I couldn't have passed my GED without him. Thank you Keith!

Those were my daughter's words and I couldn't be more pleased. I appreciate Keith's flexibility, demeanor, and professionalism. My daughter was very comfortable and is looking forward to their next session.

My daughter's grade went from a C to an A as a result of Keith's help. He is very patient and spoke on the same level as my daughter, which allowed her to understand the material much easier. He was very flexible and accommodating to our schedule. I would highly recommend him and will definitely utilize his services again next year if my daughter needs help in math.

Keith R. is approachable, flexible to work with time-wise, and really knows his subject. We have been able to communicate very well by email and phone. Our teenager who is pretty much a math whiz started to have trouble understanding some advanced trigonometry and pre-calculus problems and concepts. Keith has been patient, persistent, understandable, and friendly. Our teenager didn't have a math book assigned in class, which I think was part of the problem; when asked, Keith was able to recommend a text. My daughter is really getting the stuff now! Many thanks to Keith. We are going to continue with him through to the end of the school year and final exam. If our student needs help next school year for calculus and Keith covers that area, we will call on him again if he is available.

Keith consistently delivers a quality tutoring session. He's also flexible when schedules have to be rearranged. Our student's engagement and energy level fluctuates tremendously due to his busy schedule, and Keith adjusts accordingly. Great tutor.

I have to admit that in the beginning I was very reluctant/apprehensive regarding using Wyzant. After having been tutored by 4 previous tutors in my area and not retaining anything, I decided to give Keith R. a try. OMG! I feel so badly that I didn't go with him from the very beginning. But as the old saying goes, "We saved the best for last." Keith has been thorough and I am learning and retaining ALL that he has taught me. I am almost 60 years old, with some disabilities due to being a "Wounded Warrior" in the US Army, pursing my college degree. Keith speaks and explains concepts and algorithms, in a language which I understand. He is an excellent motivator, and when I was giving up on myself, he hadn't. The meeting places have been awesome, the library, and even McDonalds. Keith is very dependable and flexible with time. I would love to give him references, he is very articulate, bright, and a very nice guy. I feel confident that I will pass my final exam with the tutoring I've gotten from Keith. Kudos to Wyzant. Keep Keith busy!!!

Hello everyone. I would recommend Keith R. as a tutor for you, especially if you have challenges with algebra. He was very patient when helping me understand my algebra homework. I have not worked on algebra in over twenty years and it has been quite challenging for me to recall and comprehend these concepts again. I appreciate Keith's help with putting me on the right track.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I taught Algebra 1 with a national tutoring chain for five years. I have taught Algebra 1 as a private tutor since 2001. I completed math classes at the university level through advanced calculus. This includes two semesters of elementary calculus, vector and multi-variable calculus, courses in linear algebra, differential equations, analysis, complex variables, number theory, and non-euclidean geometry.

I have played guitar for over 20 years, focusing primarily on rock and heavy metal genres. I also studied classical guitar for about four years. I also have formal and informal training in basic music theory. My teaching experience includes having taught several beginning students to play their favorite rock songs, read tablature, and basic sight reading from the staff. I have also worked with several beginning bass guitarists, as well. In terms of curriculum, I have used Troy Stetina instructional series for rock and heavy metal guitar, Aaron Shearer for classical guitar, and Fretboard Logic for lead guitar. I have also developed curriculum materials that include these resources and others to ensure the student receives well rounded lessons in all areas of instrumental music development.

I have used Microsoft Excel since the late 1990s for professional, academic, and personal applications. In particular, I worked for a state public health program from 2006 to 2011 that required me to use Excel on a near daily basis. I have used it for financial modeling to calculate time value of money, net present values, internal rates of return, and others. I've also used it to track golf scores, bowling scores for a bowling league, developed an automated time sheet to track time and leave accrual for employees, used it to project pro forma financial statements for use in business plans and grant applications, and used it a variety of other applications.

I taught the study skills program to many students during my five year tenure that I worked for a national tutoring company. I also always embed ongoing study skill tips and techniques as part of my the homework support that I provide to the students I privately tutor. When I work with students directly on study skills, we work together on their personal organization, time management, study strategies, goal setting, and test preparation.

Writing is a big part of the curriculum in both business and law schools, and I wrote extensively in each. In addition, I did heavy writing as an undergraduate that included an honors senior thesis in legal history and jurisprudential decision making, as well as a short piece I wrote that won the school's annual "best paper in ethics" award. Finally, I worked in state government for about 6 years in which I either drafted myself or edited a very wide variety of documents: white papers, legislative reports, grant applications, annual program reports, management by objectives work plans, contracts, purchase orders, and others.
