Diane is dedicated to the success of her students! She is very knowledgeable and helped our son finish very strong in his Pre-Calculus course!

It helps immensely to have as great a son as you do to maintain his focus towards this goal and to be willing to do whatever is needed. I have never seen such an amazingly positive attitude before in a young person! My best to him for an awesome Senior Year!

She reviewed GRE math and I am much more confident in taking this exam. The problems we went over she explained thoroughly. Thank you for an excellent job and wonderful educator.

Dianne has taught me how to problem solve and be confident in my work. Math is my weakest subject and statistics hurts my brain. Dianne loves what she does and that shows in her work. She is very knowledgeable about the material and easy to work with. Without her I don't think that I would have been able to grasp the concept of statistics.

Dianne was a great help to both of my kids. Dianne is thorough, reliable, knowledgeable and does a great job in making sure her students understand the concept. Dianne is GREAT!

Before Dianne, I was super behind in my math credits and really struggled with Algebra 2 my junior year. My SAT scores were also awful the first time I took it. But within my second lesson with Dianne, she had completely helped me grasp Algebra concepts used in Algebra 2, as well as my weak points such as linear equations. She used material identical to the SAT which helped me with the confusing word problems! All in all a wonderful tutor! Can't wait to retake the SAT in the fall and see how I improve!

My daughter felt very comfortable with Dianne. She's on a time schedule to finish and she feels confident Dianne will be able to help. I felt Dianne was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I think I made a wise choice.

Dianne always makes our granddaughter feel as though she can do this -prior to working with Dianne she really felt hopeless. We are so grateful for her positivity!

Dianne is very easy to get along with. She very knowledgeable about the subjects. So my children feel confident in what they are learning. My sons math grade has improved already (in only a month). I'm so thankful to have found her!

My daughter who is in 5th grade needs to start almost all the way at the beginning with math. So far Dianne has been very attentive and patient. She setup a plan of action immediately and even went so far as to contacting my daughters teacher. She is very involved and interested in helping my child succeed. Couldn't have made a better choice.

Ms. W. was very effective as a tutor in AP Calculus. Her instructional methods helped me to understand the concepts and prepared me for the exam. I would highly recommend her and am sure I will utilizing her services in the future.

Dianne left two packets that my Granddaughter need to complete. The tutoring is just beginning. Dianne is very pleasant to work with and look forward to working with her.

Dianne has inspired enthusiasm in my daughter for a subject she has always struggled with. We are so happy to be working with her!

Dianne came in with an organized study plan for my daughter and evaluated her needs. She is professional, patient and encouraging. You can tell Dianne is in the right profession because her understanding and respect for the student is obvious.

Excellent tutor, cannot complain. Laser focused. Concise. Patient. Extremely helpful. Two hours with her face-to-face replaced 3 weeks of studying on my own.

Thanks, Austin! You are great to work with! Glad I was of help!

I really liked how she explained a problem and worked through solving it with me. She has helped me accomplish my summer math packet, which was not easy! Thanks so much, Diane!

Thank you, Elizabeth! You are an awesome student and great to work with! I enjoyed meeting you and helping you get your summer packet finished! Have a Great School Year!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Discrete math is math with discrete variables (integers). While not having taught an actual discrete math course itself, I did teach the topics that are in it in other courses. I taught probability and combinatorics in statistics (college level) , logic operators in math for computer programming courses (college level), set theory in algebra courses (college and high school levels) and coding and graph theory as individual topics in Integrated math courses (high school level). I also had graph theory and coding as part of math coures that I took in my undergraduate math degree.

I have a master's degree in math and have 30 years of teaching math (22 college/university, 8 high school).

I have a master's degree in math and have done discrete/finite math throughout my math career. In my 30 years of teaching math (22 college/university, 8 high school), I have taught discrete math or finite math, both as part of statistics classes, business mathematics classes or math for computer programming courses. The probability and combinatorial mathematics is done in statistics, the logic operators are done in computer programming courses and the matrices and linear algebra are done in business mathematics.

Last year I tutored a local college student in finite mathematics and readily saw how business topics which used continuous variables (for example, matrices and linear programming) were included in the course in addition to discrete variables (logic operators, coding, graph theory, set theory, combinatorics).

I took and passed the Praxis myself, both the first one (Pre-Professional) and then the Praxis II in Math. I am currently tutoring a student for the math portion of the Praxis Pre-Professional through another tutoring company. A few years ago I tutored a student for the Praxis II in Math through that same company.
