I have 10 years experience teaching part-time as an adjunct professor 3 years teaching full-time as a visiting professor and lecturer. In graduate school I tutored undergraduate students. I have 10 years experience teaching part-time as an adjunct professor 3 years teaching full-time as a visiting professor and lecturer. In graduate school I tutored undergraduate students. I know what it takes for students to succeed later in higher education. When I teach or tutor I try to show the student what makes an equation or a physical work rather than give a cookbook formula, which will be easier to use when the student knows where it comes from. Mathematics is an art form and I encourage students to practice solving problems the way a musician must practice playing an instrument.

I have applied the mathematics, the differential equations, the calculus, and matrix algebra in my graduate school physics courses and I understand the fundamentals needed to prepare for more advanced math courses. I have taught algebra, finite math, calculus, linear algebra, and real analysis in two universities.

If you want to go on to higher education you should choose a tutor who has taught at college level and knows how to prepare you and how you can succeed after you finish secondary school. I like to give my students a mental workout and some actually enjoy a challenge whatever their level of mastery.

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

My doctorate is in interdisciplinary applied mathematics and mathematical physics from Delaware State University in 2009 and I have taught as adjunct faculty and visiting professor since graduating. Please feel free to verify this. I am certain Wyzant will make available to you my having done the tests to insure my qualification to help you thoroughly understand algebra at any undergraduate level. I also have experience one-on-one as an instrument flight instructor.
Calculus,

Calculus

I have a PhD in interdisciplinary applied mathematics and mathematical physics from Delaware State University in 2009, 7 years teaching math as an adjunct professor at Delaware State and 3 years teaching as a visiting professor and lecturer at Lincoln University PA. Tutoring experience one-on-one as a flight instructor; my flight training students earned private, commercial, and instrument ratings in single engine and multi-engine aircraft. I have also worked as a technician on small to medium-size aircraft and this experience is useful for real-world applications of such subjects as calculus.
Physics,

Physics

My physics includes plenty of classical Newtonian mechanics and electromagnetic theory and I know how to break it down for people learning how to start. I can offer you some study techniques to make it more time efficient.

Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

I taught the course Discrete Mathematics, or MAT213 at Lincoln University during the 2017-2018 academic year. I taught this same course at Delaware State University about 2010. When I taught it, the course contained optimization procedures for maximizing and minimizing functions given constraints. Today both university courses give set theory, how to prove including the indirect proof or proof of the contra-positive of an implication (if-then statement.) While there were not many proofs of theorems in my graduate school coursework - except in real analysis at the MS level and functional analysis at the PhD level, I made and used a couple of theorems in my dissertation. In a tutorial I presented to a senior student who was bound to graduate school some proofs in real analysis.
