About Zaria

Since 2007, I have been teaching the English language to students of various levels and ages in South America, Asia, and the USA. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a 140-hour TEFL Certificate, I have been able to contribute to many schools, business and organizations as a teacher and tutor. In addition to teaching college preparatory English, I've designed TOEFL preparation, pronunciation/intonation, and life skills courses for various schools, businesses, and foreign diplomatic institutions.

The teaching style I use is the same one that I employed to teach myself intermediate Spanish and Portuguese while living abroad - a highly communicative approach that combines media, technology, and consistent practice and interaction throughout each lesson. Take classes with me to elevate your English fluency in fun and memorable ways.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
