I am a student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and I come from Princeton, New Jersey. In my time at Princeton High School I loved my time in history classes and am eager to help students do as best as they can in a diverse and dynamic subject. I want to aid students of all ability levels in appreciate the fundamentals of history, while also helping them reach tangible goals, like improved grades or high standardized test scores. History is a subject in which I believe hard work and enthusiasm can be far more valuable than skill and I desire to help students find that enthusiasm and fun in what can sometimes be a subject full of obscure dates and far-off facts.
My credentials in history come from my own extremely positive experiences with it in middle and high school. I had perfect scores on every history exam I took in high school (5s on the European History, US History, World History, US Government and Politics, and Comparative Government and Politics AP exams, 800s on the World History and US History SATIIs). Beyond this I was awarded the Frank B. Reisman Memorial Scholarship, an honor given by the history department of my high school to the student who displays the greatest passion and ability in the field in the graduating class. In addition I was the founder of the Princeton High School History Bowl and Bee team, guiding the club to win the Mid-Atlantic Championships and compete twice in the National Championship Tournament.
I competed for four years as a varsity track athlete for the Princeton High School team, during both the winter and spring seasons. My primary events were the 100, 200, 400, and long jump and the corresponding relay events. I was a part of relay teams which hold three separate school records and I ran at New Balance Nationals my sophomore and junior years and jumped at Indoor Nike Regionals my sophomore, junior, and senior years. However, my proudest achievement in my track and field career the role I played as boys team captain my senior year, in which I lead the team to our first sectional title since 1985. This summer as a coach at a local track and field summer camp, instructing young athletes (ages 8-13) in a wide array of events.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've competed in 10 years of running through my time in high school, including 2 seasons of cross country, 4 of winter track, and 4 of spring track. I was on my school's varsity team for each season I competed in track and field, becoming team captain the winter of my senior year. During that winter season I led the team to its first sectional title in 30 years. In addition to this I've competed in many levels of New Jersey and national track and field, entering twice and three times in New Balance Nationals and Nike Regionals respectively and the New Jersey Meet of Champions once. I hold 3 high school records. I have been employed as a coach over the summer at a camp for young athletes.
