About Danielle

I am a bilingual Spanish and English speaker, currently pursuing my master's degree at Georgetown University.

I taught ESL in the U.S. and at a university in Ecuador.
After that, I worked as the Coordinator of the WorldTeach program in Costa Rica, which sent ESL teachers to Costa Rican schools throughout the country.

I am very familiar with pronunciation challenges in both languages and I know which types of grammatical errors are most common among Spanish and English speakers. Since I have lived in Argentina, Ecuador and Costa Rica, my accent in Spanish is neutral and is easy to understand. Although the majority of my experience has been with Spanish speakers, I am also available to teach ESL to speakers of any language, and I enjoy teaching very much. Whether you are looking for business or basic communication skills, I will make the learning process enjoyable!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Focused, professional, competent

Danielle is friendly and professional -- pleasant even when I wasn't able to be on time. I appreciated her graciousness as I tried to remember my Spanish, and she tailored the lesson appropriately. I felt challenged, but not embarrassed. She totally set me at ease, and had printed sheets for me to review, and a path for me to continue forward using, right down to homework and helpful apps. Thank y
