I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hamilton College, with minors in math and government. I have completed numerous economic research projects in STATA, and I am extremely comfortable with using the software to build, clean, and analyze datasets. I specialize in microeconomics, but I feel comfortable tutoring basic macroeconomic concepts and completing macroeconomic research. My background in math allows me to tutor any math course from Algebra 1 to Calculus, in addition to both SAT and ACT math.

I love helping people, and focus on conceptual issues to build confidence in broad skills that can be applied to specific problems. My goal is to help students learn how to approach problems and solve them on their own rather than give answers or step-by-step formulas. I work to build and inspire confidence in my students in order that they master the material in a way that will be reflected in their ability to participate in class and succeed on exams and standardized tests.

It is my explicit policy that I will never complete work for my students. Please do not ask me to do your work for you.

Starting July 16, I will have limited availability during the week. I will post when I think I will be available, but note it is subject to change. I guarantee that any new student who works with me will have the opportunity to have at least 2 hours of tutoring a week.

I am versed in how to understand standard errors, evaluate when these standard errors may be invalid, and methods for reconciling invalid standard errors.

Great

Case works hard to make time for his students, is knowledgable in what he's teaching, is patient and calm when working through challenges, and is laid back and fun. Great tutor would recommend.

Patient and Easily Understandable

STATA to me is like a terrifying foreign language, and Case truly assisted me in understanding it in a language that is familiar to me. It was very important to me that he did not assume I had any knowledge basis of STATA, and allowed me to work through the problem set in the way I perceived it, and correcting my perception so that I understood the problems in terms of STATA.

Very Knowlegeable

Case is helping me with AP Calculus A/B, he is very knowledgeable. I think I'll be learning a lot from him. He took the AP Calculus test not too long ago, so he is telling me what I need to memorize and what I need to know and giving me tips on how to memorize certain things easily to save time. I'm glad we found Case.

Case Was Amazing!

I was working on a STATA project and I have had 2 tutors prior him and I was still confused and not getting anywhere. Case was very knowledgeable in STATA and was very patient with me. He explained everything very clearly. Something I really loved too, was that he had STATA on his computer so we were able to go over the coding together. Overall, he was great and I strongly recommend him. He also responds very promptly to your messages. Thanks Case!

AWESOME ECON TUTOR!

I desperately needed help with my economics homework and Case was able to tutor me within minutes of me contacting him! His explanations and examples were clear, to the point, and I could actually understand the supply side of economics by the time we got off the video! I will definitely use him again when the time comes!
