If you need to study English to help with your career growth, to better understand American culture, or just for your personal fulfillment, then I would be more than happy to take you to new heights. For me, helping students with their English has always been a source of delight and satisfaction for me.

I am a native English speaker, who recently graduated from Indiana University in 1992, majoring in Russian and French. After college, I worked in Russia in the corporate world for 15 years. And during that time, I taught English to people of different backgrounds and with all kinds of personal goals: to improve their grades at school, to help them get accepted into an MBA school in America, to help them get jobs with Western companies, or just to boost their self-confidence. I worked both with individuals and with corporate groups who needed English to better communication with their international business partners.

The cornerstone of my philosophy is teaching via the communicative method, but with emphasis on proper grammar, training correct pronunciation, and anchoring teaching in cultural nuances (e.g. there are umpteen expressions in American English derived from baseball).

While teaching, I rely on not only my extensive experience, but also try to keep up to date with the latest textbooks, methodologies, multi-media programs, and other tools for teaching foreign languages. My teaching approach is comprehensive, and includes all the components of language: phonetics (working on correct pronunciation), grammar, vocabulary, listening comprehension, reading, speaking fluently without a script.
