About Saidur

I am an upbeat senior at the University of Maryland seeking opportunities to utilize my math skills and experience in tutoring high school and college students. As an astrophysics major I mastered math skills and concepts presented in all levels of math (i.e. Calc, Algebra, Geometry). Additionally, when tutoring my students I have many techniques in my bank to assist them. For example, I will assess their level of knowledge, discuss homework problems and concepts they found challenging, review relevant materials covered in class, as well as go over basic math knowledge if needed.
Moreover, my previous experience in teaching Geometry, Algebra, Calc to Middle school students, college classmates and family members, further qualifies me for this position. For example, when I was working at the Math Center at UMD, I helped students with their assignments and explained complex mathematical concepts by breaking ideas down into simple understandable steps. As a result, most students successfully grasped the concept and were able to complete assignments independently, as well as show grade improvement. All in all, I have plenty of experience teaching math and love to share my knowledge with students.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
