About Sarah

Ever since I started teaching, I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in learning and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students. I have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits, as my resume will attest.
My qualifications include elementary teaching experience, Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction for the Urban Learner. For more than 20 years, I provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, detailed student evaluations and instructional delivery for students in grades Kindergarten through Second grade. I am certified to teach Pre-Kindergarten – Third Grade.

It would be an honor to work with your child. My schedule is flexible.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
