University of Missouri - Kansas City (Geography)
Park University (Graduate Coursework)
Hello! My name is Molly. I am 26, and I recently moved to DC from Kansas City, Missouri. I have been a substitute teacher and tutor for four school years. I have experience working with students with learning differences and from all backgrounds. My best subjects for tutoring are English, History/Social Studies, and Math for grades 4-10. I also have experience in ACT and SAT prep.
I love working one-on-one with students, and I will always have your goals in mind. I have a flexible schedule, and I want to a supportive member of your academic team.
I have worked extensively in tutoring students in math from sixth grade through Calculus. One of my best skills as a tutor is explaining math problems in many ways until a certain explanation clicks with my students.
My college degree is in geography, and I have taken all different kinds of Science courses. I have a general knowledge base to help you understand how to apply science methods to anything you are trying to tackle.
As an ACT/SAT test prep tutor, I have learned all kinds of tricks to explain the rules of English and grammar. I also have lots of experience in teaching reading comprehension with different easy-to-use methods.
If it seems like I might be able to help you reach your goals, I hope to hear from you soon! Hello! My name is Molly. I am 26, and I recently moved to DC from Kansas City, Missouri. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
