Hi! I'm a former high school math teacher, and I tutor part time while I'm working towards a PhD in economics.
My specialty is in economics and mathematics, and I can tutor in either field up to undergraduate-level courses (and some graduate-level courses, depending on the subject). I can also help with other high school-level courses and with physics up to the undergrad level.
I'm happy to work with you whether you're struggling in your current class and want to see improvement or you want to get ahead. Send me a message and I'll get back to you soon!

Amaan is a trained educator. He is knowledgeable and most importantly, he is able to impart his knowledge in a way that is understandable. I am happy to have found someone who is patient and kind. He is very good at explaining statistics so I can understand it and do the problems.
My daughter is a Freshman at GWU, met with Amaan. She enjoyed his thorough explanation of concepts, he respected her method of learning, was a patience problem solver, and had a good ear in talking through solutions.
Excellent and patient teacher, with a huge array of economics knowledge. Reviews concepts over and over again until you understand them thoroughly. He also shows you multiple ways to work through things which help you learn the concepts better.
Amaan stayed longer than scheduled to help me make sure I knew the material. Highly recommended tutor. Amaan made sure I understood the material and has very clear notes on the economics problem set we worked on.
He simplifies things and makes them easy to understand. He was organized in working through the material. Very flexible with his time. Has a lot of patience.
Dealing with Amaan was a good experience. He was accommodating, professional and extremely helpful. Thankfully, he was able to fit my daughter in with less than a day's notice.
Amaan is tutoring me in the principles of micro and macro economics. He has an in depth knowledge of the material and is able to help me clearly understand the key elements of the subject and apply them to coursework.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I used to teach AP Calculus AB at the high school level. I am currently teaching a graduate-level course in econometrics, and have also taught a graduate-level course in statistics. I'm working towards a masters degree.
I currently teach a graduate-level econometrics course.
I graduated with distinction in economics from University, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in economic and political development.
I studied linear algebra in high school, then took advanced linear algebra as a freshman in college. As a field, linear algebra was developed alongside mechanics and relativity, which I studied extensively in college. For my physics major, I did research in the geometries of special relativity and Minkowski spaces, and all of the math behind that work involved metric tensors from linear algebra.
I was a math teacher.
I was a high school precalculus teacher for several years. I am currently teaching a graduate-level course in econometrics, and have also taught a graduate-level course in statistics.
I've taught STATA in graduate level courses in statistics and econometrics, and I use it in my daily work as a PhD student in economics.
I taught a masters-level statistics course at Columbia University. I'm working towards a masters degree.
