Rutgers University (Math, Economics)
Hello prospective students!
I am very excited to start working with you to help take the fear out of math! I strongly believe that mathematics is a subject that can be mastered as long as you are willing to work hard and practice. I graduated from Rutgers University (Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude) in May 2012 with majors in Mathematics and Economics. With nearly 5 years of combined experience in tutoring undergraduate students at the Rutgers University Learning Center and private clients, I've helped many students achieve top grades in their Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics courses! I am also available to tutor students in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics, if so desired. Finally, I have a wealth of experience in working with youth through mentoring programs, as well as international education in Southeast Asia.
I have a passion for working with students ranging from middle school through university. I try to make sessions as enjoyable as possible, especially since I am in my mid-twenties and can distinctly remember being in your shoes not too long ago! My philosophy is that a great tutor is not only well-versed in the subject matter, but also must be a source of motivation for each individual student. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, easy-going, and motivating tutor, please feel free to get in touch with me. Hello prospective students!

Honestly I've only had 2 sessions with him. And I learned more than what I've learned through high school. I took calculus 1 in my senior year. Now I'm a freshman and I'm taking precalculus and he truly helped me understand and taught me new techniques.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored undergraduate students in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics. I was employed by the Rutgers Learning Center for over 3 years, where I received excellent feedback from the students whom I worked with on a consistent basis.
