University of Denver
I am offering to tutor in gender/sexuality studies, women's studies, anthropology, psychology, and creative writing. I graduated from the University of Denver in 2010 with a B.A. in anthropology and a Minor in psychology. I have an extensive education at both undergraduate and graduate levels in anthropology and psychology as well as gender studies which, while not a major or minor, is a passion of mine and I'm extremely well versed in modern gender issues. I am also willing to assist in brainstorming, generation of ideas, and troubleshooting. Honestly, while I'm extremely competent in my areas of strength, I am quite weak in the development of professional writing (grammar and spelling), and should not be sought after by those looking for that flavor of assistance. I am conveniently located a short walk from both a blue/orange-line and red-line Metro stop. My building has a lovely lounge that is well-lit, comfortable, and perfect for study and/or discussion of material. My tutoring style is logical, methodical, and I utilize real-world examples and allegories to illustrate complex ideas at a comprehensible level.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
