Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I've taught Algebra for more than 10 years in Maryland and DC.

Algebra 2

I am a former Algebra II Teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools. I will make use of the TI-84 Plus calculator as well as online help.

Elementary Math

I love teaching Elementary Math. It allows me to get to a student earlier in their skill level to avoid problems in higher math!

Geometry

I am currently teaching Geometry using the textbook McDougal Littell to 9th and 10th graders.

Prealgebra

I'll make Pre-Algebra fun and relevant using "real world" situations and manipulatives.

Statistics

I am a University of Maryland graduate with a BS in Economics. Basic Statistics is what I teach!
