I am a native American English speaker, certified to teach English as a Second Language from the International Language Institute in Washington, D.C. I have extensive experience teaching English both in a one-on-one tutoring setting as well as a full classroom setting. I teach students of all English levels and ages, and design lesson plans according to the students' individual needs and language goals. I take my job seriously, but the language learning process can also be an appropriately fun one at times, and there's always room for improvement! I design lessons to engage the student, and I make specific adjustments according to his or her specific learning needs. If you're interested in one-on-one or small group tutoring, please contact me to discuss first-lesson discounts.
I look forward to speaking with you soon!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
